We offer an exceptionally personalized design process, which allows us to combine a full understanding of your vision and lifestyle with the highest quality design, materials and craftsmanship. It is our goal to make the process with our clients both exciting and rewarding, and to far exceed your expectations. Here is a portfolio of architectural transformations we’ve had the pleasure of working on over the years:

Salt and Light

Originally built in 1787 on the landplot that once housed the town’s Saltworks, this house is a stunning and seamless blend of new home construction and historic renovation on both the exterior and interior.

Orleans, At the Point

Built in 1926, this charming, rustic summer cottage was renovated and expanded for contemporary functionality and comfort while at the same time highlighting it’s historic legacy.

Wequaquet Lake, Centerville

A remodeled family cottage on Wequaquet Lake is now one family’s dream home, read more from Cape Cod Home article by Haley Cote. See the full renovated cottage in our home renovations portfolio.

Truro Hilltop

On a secluded Truro hilltop, this beloved family vacation home with an original large flat roof is transformed by curved roof panels and a signature lookout tower. Curved decks and steel cable railings extend living outdoors to capture spectacular distant water views of both Cape Cod Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

East Orleans

In order to link the existing house with an addition, the front door is placed on a 45-degree angle behind a Mahogany farmer’s porch. The roof of the garage slopes toward the road to give the home visual balance. Cedar shingles replaced blue clapboard siding. Cape Cod Life Magazine described the project as a “flawless remodel/addition”.

Cape Cod Bay, Wellfleet

A multi-level home on a fairly humble site uses every inch of its 23-foot height limit to maximum capacity. Cathedral ceilings and open-concept floor plan embrace today’s preferred style of living, but never at the expense of cozy nooks and comfortable spaces. Orleans

An Orleans, MA home with a second story addition is transformed by an open farmers porch adding dimension and character.

Little Pleasant Bay

A historical stone bungalow is renovated and restored with a guest room addition. Read about the renovation in Cape Cod and Islands Home magazine.

Contemporary Home

Overlooking Cape Cod Bay, this home features a passion for modern art. View this contemporary Cape Cod home which became a collaborative renovation between client, architect and millworker.

Chatham

The original home was built on a coastal bank and what started as a renovation, became a new house after discovering limitations and deficiencies in the old house. The Chatham home takes full advantage of beautiful water views.

Nauset Beach

This Orleans home is set on a bluff overlooking Nauset Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, along with National Seashore tidal marshes. The thoughtful redesign takes advantage of ocean breezes, sunlight, and expansive views.

Wellfleet Bay

The need for a major renovation for this Cape Cod summer home was clear from the outset. After the home construction was complete, the project exceeded even the architect’s expectations. The character of this Cape house residential design inspires many of our new clients as they look forward to their own home renovations.

Chatham Delight

Fifteen years after designing a major renovation to this house, AD was asked to upgrade rear deck and exterior areas, in collaboration with landscape architect David Hawk. The new deck area featured a shade structure with removable canvas roof, which together with the landscape design served to mitigate the intensity of the sun, while enhancing stunning panoramic views.

Wellfleet Redesign

Built in Wellfleet in the 1970’s, this home was in need of a significant update. Adding new windows and decks gave a fresh new view to the water. In the process, a ground floor master suite was added.

Stunning Water Views

This major remodel offered stunning views, and although the footprint could not be changed, the height could be increased. The area of the added stories was maximized with the addition of substantial overhangs. A masterfully crafted spiral staircase, cozy loft space, and roof level master bathroom, all contribute to the functionality and beauty of the space.

Waterside Upgrade

This beachside home had been in the family for generations, and was in need of some tender loving care. Updated waterside decks on two levels, and added skylights and windows take full advantage of the beautiful Cape Cod sunlight.
